Original artwork by Jotam Schoeman. Bedoelende Studio, Cape Town.
Page seven. Two panels, one peninsula.
Above: Kloof Corner — the road bending over the saddle toward the Atlantic Seaboard. The mountain fills the frame from here in a way that stops you. The city falls away on both sides.
Below: proteas in close detail, a sunbird working among them. The Cape's most iconic pollination relationship, unhurried, indifferent to the road above.
The Saunterer has moved from the city centre to the mountain's edge. The ocean is just out of frame.
Pencil on paper, enlarged to A1 and finished with subtle digital colour. At this scale the pencil marks themselves become part of what you're looking at.
The original A4 drawing is available as a separate framed work. Limited edition of 8 prints. Signed by Jotam Schoeman. Certificate of authenticity included. Printed on True Rag giclée by Wet Ink, Cape Town.
