Page five. The Saunterer keeps moving.

Above: a stretch of the city centre a few blocks from the Town Hall — ornate Victorian facade, the mountain visible behind the concrete that grew up around it. Below it: the pine forest on the mountain slopes. Cluster pines, Mediterranean by origin, planted by colonists, now as Cape Town as anything else here. The light through them is its own thing. Below that: Lion's Head seen from the top of Table Mountain — the cable car from the previous page has arrived.

The page moves from street to forest to summit. A vertical journey through the same peninsula.

Pencil on paper, enlarged to A1 and finished with subtle digital colour. At this scale the pencil marks themselves become part of what you're looking at.
